“Well, this project has taken a little longer than I expected, and although it’s not perfect, it’s time to get it moving!
I’ve just spent about 20 minutes attempting to take a selfie that I need for my “about” page. Having specialized in portrait photography in another life, I know better than to do this, but I’m under the gun! Taking a selfie is torturous because I am so picky, screening scores of images, honing in on all the little nuances that they portray. It’s surprising how quickly I can do this now. “Fake, forced, constipated, trying too hard”—I just about gave up! I looked in the camera roll one last time, as I often do, hoping that one of the images had magically transformed into something halfway decent. Low and behold, there it was, a simple selfie I took to test the lighting in the room. I stood there chuckling to myself, shaking my head. Ha! Of course. It’s perfect! (for now, anyway.)
I have been encouraged by many over the years to write about my life, which is how this “Queen of the Nobodies” project began roughly two years ago. It is evolving into much more, which I will be explaining in the coming weeks. For today, I need to get this website ready so I can launch!”
I’m so excited and so happy you’re here ❤️
